Children's accessories stock no. K26.3JS is an 17th century cap with reticella type work decoration. Condition: some small stains and one hole (see photo) Sold  Price: £550

		Children's accessories stock no.K81.1 is a fine mid 18th century christening layette, comprising of a silk satin christening robe trimmed with silk braid and and rows of fly-fringing, large matching silk satin bearing cloth, other lawn gowns, chemise with smocked sleeves and hollie-point inserts at the shoulders, two bibs, one with hollie-point, and a rare knitted one, a later edged lace blanket embroidered "Baby" a pincushion, all contained within a quilted silk lined wicker layette basket, highly decorated with matching fly fringe.   Provenance: reported to be from the estate Penrose, Porthleven, Cornwall, with a hand written label: hand made by Lady Basset (nee St Aubyn) wife of Francis Basset MP whose daughter, also Margaret, married John Rogers of Penrose in 1776. Children's accessories stock no. A1.4J is a rare 17th century baby cap. Illustrated in the book "LACE IN FASHION" from the sixteenth to the twentieth centuries, by Pat Earnshaw page 120. The description is: A baby cap decorated with cutwork of reticella type. The bands are edged with a stout bobbin lace, possibly Scandinavian, early seventeenth century.  Price: £675  Sold

	Children's accessories stock no.J37.1 is part of an 18th century baby's layette including a quilted coverlet with knotted fringing, and a pair of exquisite mittens, also two foreheads cloths not in the photos but similar to the ones shown below. Sold  Price: £550

Children's accessories stock no. H48.2  is a magnificent 19th century Ayrshire christening gown showing many types of  complex work. Including the two gowns shown below are sold with an article published in a magazine in 1961 all about the fine work of Ayrshire. Condition:  all the three gowns are in good condition - perhaps some minor marks.  Sold  Price: £325

Stock no. F20.1b    is a bonnet embroidered with small dots all over the lawn. The crown is worked with fine bobbin lace. Condition. good. Price: £75

Stock no. F20.    is a chequered  lawn bonnet. with lain lawn frills. Condition: good. Price; £38 GBP

Stock no. C40.1 is a baby bonnet  possibly French, eighteenth / nineteenth century is embroidered with silver and gold sequins and beads  over pink moire.  To the sides  and the centre of the bonnet, there is inserted a different type of materiel. Condition: minor damage. Price: £175 GBP

Stock no. W32.9  is a very small baby bonnet of fine lawn Price: £35

Stock no. W32.8 is a baby bonnet of medium size with an edge of narrow lace attached to the brim. Price: £35

Stock no. W32.5 is a very small baby bonnet made of very fine plain lawn Price: £35

Stock no. A32.3 is a bonnet for a slightly larger baby. it is made in fine lawn and there was a narrow band of lace around the brim. Price: £45

Stock no. W4.3i is a larger baby bonnet shaped to fit closely and with a wide thick brim in lawn. There are  two tapes inserted on the crown and one at the neck, to facilitates sizing. Price: £35

Stock no. W4.3g is a small baby bonnet with the whole  cotton crown finely ruched  to add thickness and style too, as the extra width can be made narrower or wider by means of four tapes inserted to the crown. The neck is decorated with a circle of Ayrshire Price: £55

Stock no. P020 is a baby bonnet of very fine lawn as is the narrow ruffle to the forehead and neck. There is a band of decorative stitching inserted to the back of the head and seams are similarly decorated. Condition : good  Price: £55

Stock no. Y31.2 is an eighteenth century quilted baby bonnet displaying various designs and patterns. Condition: good.  Sold  Price: £250

Stock no.Y31.12 is another baby bonnet, similar to the preceding one, but with a larger and most interesting crown, showing new patterns of white work, the lot surrounded with a decorative edge Condition: good. Price: £80 (GBP)
